In 1962, the Woodly Gardens community opened its pool, which featured a wave-like design. Families enjoyed picnics and luaus in the aquamarine water. A swim team was formed, and children splashed in the water for hours on end. Today, residents can enjoy movie nights, Fourth of July barbecues, and summer afternoons at the neighborhood pool. The community offers a wide array of amenities and activities for its residents.
There are many benefits of living in Woodley Gardens, including its convenient location near I-270 and the Metro. There is a community pool, tennis courts, and trails for kids. Homes in Woodley Gardens range from one to three acres, and residents can enjoy the amenities of this neighborhood. The neighborhood is also just a short drive to the Rockville Metro station. The school closed in 1979, but the community is still alive. More here.
The neighborhood is home to several pools for residents to enjoy. The community’s clubhouse was located in the same building as the community’s swim school, which was a separate entity. It was not immediately clear what caused the fire, but the owner, Steve Beck, was considering selling the property. In the meantime, the building was in need of a facelift, so the senior living community may want to buy it. Details here.
